I started this group to bring together writers in Vaughan, whether published or non-published, whether into writing novels, essays, poetry, short-fiction, or creative non-fiction. Everyone is welcome! Writing can be a lonely occupation! This group can help you: meet and socialize with fellow writers, share concerns and writing tips, get your work critiqued, and much more. This group is open to anyone who has an interest in writing.

… One of my favourite books for writers is Steven King's "On Writing: A Memoir of the Craft". If you want to be a writer, you must do two things above all others: read a lot and write a lot.
A monthly meeting for writers looking for support and review of their work from other writers. Come and discuss writing opportunities and challenges. Let us review your work and give valued feedback. Novels, fiction and non-fiction, essays and short stories. Professionals or out-of-work, experienced or just off the boat. All types welcome. Please bring copies of your work to meetups so people may read along.
… Bring passages from novels, poems, short stories, essays, children's books, journalism, folklore, drama, scripture, criticism, speeches, history, anecdotes, screenplays, memoirs, anything celebrating words. Writers who want to read their own work are encouraged to do so; those who'd rather just listen without reading are also welcome. Some events we can devote to a theme (e.g. ghosts and gothic writing in October, opening passages), but much of the time it'll just be "pot luck."
