Writing can be an isolated process. With all of life's distractions, writers of all genres often find it difficult to stay on track and stick to a writing schedule. While we can't write for you we can definitely write alongside with you and help each other stay focused. By making a commitment to meet-up and write, the hope is that we will support one another and hold each other accountable for sticking to our writing schedules. I aim to create a space where writers can simply come and get work done with their peers. Manuscripts, screenplays, articles, theses, blogs, indecipherable scribbles, or even a finely crafted email, you just show up, chat a little bit, and then get down to business. Literary fiction writers group seeks additional members. Seeks serious short story and novel writers. The small writers group meets every two weeks at rotating locations in and around Downtown LB. The group format is patterned after UCLA Extension Writers' Program. Writers submit up to 15 pages of fiction one week in advance, read and make written critiques on manuscripts, and provide verbal feedback at meetings. The aim is to prepare written material for publication.
