We also believe in thoughtful and thorough critiques; we don't pull any punches, but we'll also tell you at least one thing we liked. This group may be especially helpful for y …

The particular literary focus, here, is, stories or novels in which the conflict emerges from and/or bears a thematic relationship to the character of the protagonist(s). My experience with writers groups is that there are many different kinds of readers and writers, and that one's development as a writer benefits from fellow writers who share a s …

The group will not have a professional author in charge, but rather, is meant for folks who have taken at least one class and are familiar with the workshop/booth process. when registering to the group, please answer questions abo …
We are passionate writers looking to meet other passionate writers. Our group loves to have fun and our atmosphere is warm, welcoming, playful - at times even silly. At the same time, when we get down to it, we offer sincere feedback, trying to improve each other's work. We believe that to give good feedback we have to tell the writer what worked well first, what moved us, what inspired us, what made us want to punch something or someone. Then, we talk about what can be improved. The environment …

Each month, we will read and discuss and/or write about a great classic written by various American or European authors. Some of these books we may have read as children or teens, others may be new to us, but all have had a significant impact on readers around the globe and are worth a read, or even a second read. We will meet at a coffee/tea shop or a wine bar each month to discuss the book of the month and share anything we have written about the book, if designated as an optional assignment.
