During a regular month, we have 2 meetups; one in South Austin & one in North Austin. (I am in the process of expanding that to 4 meetups a month.) We are a committed group of writers that meet on Thrusday for 4-5 hours. We meet at a local coffee shop, share our work and do gut wrenching critiques. The Austin Writers Roulette features a different monthly theme and line up of artists who love to perform their original written works such as poetry, essays, spoken word, singer-songwriting, or excerpts from novels. Artists also have the opportunity to set up a vendor table at the roulette. This is a group for people trying to finish a novel. We're going to meet Thursdays 8:30 - 10:30 at the Lakeline HEB (unless a better venue presents itself) and discuss two writers' work per week.
